We went on a cruise ship excursion to the 2nd observation station in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We had great views of Mt. Fuji when we left Shimizu but unfortunately when we stopped at the observation station the summit was covered by cloud. The drive through the forest was very pleasant though.
Looked for a different route from Aberdeen. Drive did not disappoint. The beauty of the park's scenery, the sheep and all around a nice drive to end our day of travels.Wished we had some time to actually spend in the park instead of just driving through but was still very nice area.
Words cannot express the beauty of this area. Pictures don’t do it justice. It was breathtaking. We had a 2, a 9 and an 11 year child with us so we did the Going to the Sun Road and took advantage of the stops available on the road. We took some shorter hikes and enjoyed all of it. Can’t wait to go back and complete more lengthy & off the road trails when they are older!
We have visited Yellowstone many times. We have also visited many national parks; however, this one remains my favorite. It is an outstanding and amazing park. For hiking, natural beauty, viewing wildlife (bears were my favorite), and seeing geothermal activity, this park rocks! I always look forward to our next visit.
We loved our stay in Banff National Park. The beauty is mesmerizing. We stayed 4 nights and we could have stayed much longer. It is relaxing and a perfect commune with nature.
Came during winter and grateful for the good weather as it allowed us to do some snow trekking and the view from the top is surreal. Remember to rent the trekking equipment from the visitor centre below the mountain. However, beware the weather on top can change pretty fast. Check the weather before coming. If not, the view from the ropeway up is very beautiful as well.
Walking in Yosemite valley trail is an enjoyable walk. As you walk through the valley, there are nice views around trees, mountains and static water where people do boating and swimming. As you walk along, you will see many bikers and there is a separate trail for them. We walked for a good time and enjoyed. Good place for family picnic.
